A Christmas Story

Every rasping, gravelly breath she struggles through chills the dejected onlookers to the bone. Maria’s tiny chest heaves mightily to gasp each wisp of life-giving air. Wide eyed and trusting, she searches her mother’s tear stained face for some sign, some reason why she has to suffer so, knowing mommy will make it better soon.

But mommy can’t make it better: mommy doesn’t have the money to buy the medicine that her baby needs. And so finally, almost mercifully, the rasping stops and silence fills the room. The tiny voice is silenced, her little glassy eyes closed forever, all hope extinguished.

On the other side of the world, mother buckles little Angie into the child’s car seat in the back of her Prius. They’re on their way to the doctor’s office; mom is a little concerned with Angie’s sniffles. She’s in a hurry, everyone is coming over Sunday for Christmas turkey, and she still has to pack for their winter getaway. They’ll be spending this New Year’s Eve in a tropical paradise! On their way to the new medical clinic they pass the construction site where all the new windmills are going up.

From high on a Cross, another tear stained face looks down on His brothers’ and sisters’ daily struggles. He lived and died for justice, but is justice what He sees? Billions and billion of dollars are wasted on false environmentalism while kids suffer and starve in our own back yards. Fight back against false environmentalism; save a kid today.

Why Occupy Wall St When Government Debt Is The Problem?

National governments in Europe and North America have spent money that they don't have. They are creating debt by over-spending. If you or I over-spend we end up with bank loans & credit card debt. Government debt isn't quite so easy to categorize but the consequences for tax-payers are similar to those our families would face: there's fewer goodies, less to go around, everyone has to work harder & gets less from it.
The people of Greece lived it up on a 4 day work week with free government-everything but they're paying the price now. They are complaining bitterly about the harsh cutbacks but the alternative is bankruptcy. The whole European Economic Community is in trouble & it seems like we in Canada & the U.S. are in a hurry to charge down the same blind alley.
False environmentalism is one of the biggest cash drains & yields no real environmental benefits. Meanwhile people are out of work (a situation that will get much worse as gov't debt grows), jails are filling up as crime rises, education & health care suffer, & people in real need are left to fend for themselves so we can build more windmills! Download Kids Before Trees free to get an in-depth look at the cost of rampant environmental terrorism. Careful What You Wish For, You Might Get It: Enviros Don't Think About The Consequences of Their Actions

The war is on. You, the youth of today, will be the victims of this left-wing political pseudoscience. Think about it,where would you be without fossil fuels? Seriously, do you want to live without electricity? Or pay 10 times more for home heating? The financial crash that's coming will stun you beyond belief. Time to get serious & let your politicians & newspeople know that you want the nonsense stopped! http://www.epaabuse.com/1047/editorials/two-authors-expose-radical-epa-climate-change-agenda/#comment-83

Does Shale Gas Development Contaminate Fresh Water?

Some groups are concerned about development of the vast shale gas resources in North America.  I believe that the fear of contaminating fresh water aquifers through production of the shale gas is unfounded. That said, it is certainly up to each concerned person to seek the truth. Let the facts speak for themselves. To the best of my knowledge no cross contamination has ever occurred, but I don't know everything.
We need to remember that risk is a part of life. If our parents & grandparents had never taken a risk we wouldn't have any of the things that have improved our standard of living to a point undreamt of only a few short years ago, things we take for granted. There is risk associated with the mining of coal, production of electricity, and oil & gas; but where would we be without them? Is the risk of developing shale gas resources greater than the risk of relying on foreign energy supplies? Would we rather suffer the pain of giving up our conventional energy supplies or take the risk of developing them?
To answer these questions we must understand the risk, and that's where these issues usually stall. Fanatics & alarmists jump up & down & shout slogans & don the noble mantle of "protecting the environment", but that is not helpful. A clear headed objective review of the facts is necessary to establish the true risk. What might happen? What would be the consequences if it did? That is what is called for in this issue. I believe that the risk of cross contamination is very low, but let the facts speak for themselves.

Windmills, A Religious Icon?

"These static displays have nothing to do with good economics, jobs, or saving the planet and other such nonsense. They are the follies and monuments of the green religion. The ancient world had its towering statues to the emperors and their gods; the medieval world had its shrines and statues to saints and the Virgin Mary, as well as the most prominent spires that money could buy. The communists have their huge statues and ostentations promoting their cult. These useless wind monstrosities are the necessary images that the proponents of green cult need to make them and others believe that their gods and values are the dominant ones, and making the cult conspicuous. Like the idols of old, they are utterly useless in themselves but keep worshippers captive to an ideology. Hasten the day when our countrymen will wake up and see how they have been fooled and tear these things down, and destroy the foul cult that deluded them." A British Blogger
This was written about the windmill farms cropping up in the U.K. at taxpayer expense, but it's every bit as true here in North America.

Why The Population Bomb Bombed

Paul Ehrlich & Al Gore claim the Earth can’t endure any more people! But they don’t tell you that India's granaries are full & producers there are applying for food export permits! Dense population isn't hurting Japan, or Hong Kong, or many other lands. China could feed her hungry masses with food grown at home if the communist government would stop screwing things up! China et al suffer because of corrupt governments, not over-population.
This summer European farmers were again dumping food that they couldn't sell, and the U.N. claims that more people suffer from obesity than malnutrition. Our planet can support more life than anyone can imagine, let alone predict, and the obvious truth is in the endless predictions-that-never-come-true of the doom-sayers and fear-mongers.
The mainstay of the fear-mongers is the threat of SUDDEN catastrophe. In fact, IF the population ever starts to stretch resources, it will be a slow and very evident process: resource limitations will be well announced by higher prices and other market indicators.  Fear-mongers, like Gore & Ehrlich, get rich while schools close & kids are turned out into the street. Whole nations are being suckered & manipulated by the Ehrlich's of the world; European & American governments scramble to reduce CO2 emissions while their debts threaten to throw the whole world into a global depression. We are paying the higher taxes, gasoline prices & electricity bills that pay for the windmills & solar panels that make a few “environmentalists” rich & throw national economies into turmoil! Don't throw away your children's and grandchildren's futures through fear of what MIGHT happen a thousand years from now. That's the story of Chicken Little.

A Sensible Man

Nobel prize winner for physics in 1973 Dr. Ivar Giaever resigned as a Fellow from the American Physical Society (APS) on September 13, 2011 in disgust over the group’s promotion of man-made global warming fears. Climate Depot has obtained the exclusive email Giaever sent to APS Executive Officer Kate Kirby to announce his formal resignation.
Dr. Giaever wrote to Kirby of APS: “Thank you for your letter inquiring about my membership. I did not renew it because I cannot live with the (APS) statement below (on global warming): APS: ‘The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring. If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.’
Giaever announced his resignation from APS was due to the group’s belief in man-made global warming fears. Giaever explained in his email to APS: “In the APS it is ok to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible? The claim (how can you measure the average temperature of the whole earth for a whole year?) is that the temperature has changed from ~288.0 to ~288.8 degree Kelvin in about 150 years, which (if true) means to me is that the temperature has been amazingly stable, and both human health and happiness have definitely improved in this ‘warming’ period.”

Dear Ms. Kirby
Thank you for your letter inquiring about my membership. I did not renew it because I can not live with the statement below:
Emissions of greenhouse gases from human activities are changing the atmosphere in ways that affect the Earth’s climate. Greenhouse gases include carbon dioxide as well as methane, nitrous oxide and other gases. They are emitted from fossil fuel combustion and a range of industrial and agricultural processes.
The evidence is incontrovertible: Global warming is occurring.
If no mitigating actions are taken, significant disruptions in the Earth’s physical and ecological systems, social systems, security and human health are likely to occur. We must reduce emissions of greenhouse gases beginning now.
In the APS it is ok to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible? The claim (how can you measure the average temperature of the whole earth for awhole year?) is that the temperature has changed from ~288.0 to ~288.8 degree Kelvin in about 150 years, which (if true) means to me is that the temperature has been amazingly stable, and both human health and happiness have definitely improved in this ‘warming’ period.
Best regards,
Ivar Giaever

Global Warming Predictions Failing

One of the consequences of CO2 emissions we're supposed to experience is more hurricanes. Was Hurricane Irene caused by global warming? Of course the folks making money from the big scare would have you believe it, but on closer inspection it turns out to be just the opposite! In fact, the frequency of hurricanes hitting the USA is declining, and has been for a hundred years! This article is very funny and well written,  Click here for the full story.

Billions of Dollars, Wasted on LIES

Here is real life grand larceny unfolding before our very eyes, & once again the news media is conspiring with the crooks & fear mongers. The British gov't is spending over $300,000,000,000 (that's 300 BILLION dollars) to build windmills to fight the FEAR of global warming. That's over twenty times the cost of building conventional power plants to generate the same amount of electricity.

Don’t think it can’t happen here, it already is! Take a drive towards Pincher Creek & you’ll see the endless miles of windmills “gracing” the horizon. You are paying every dollar, through taxes and electricity prices, and it’s all because our politicians are only hearing the drivel from the eco-terrorists! The globe is not warming, check any legitimate source, our atmosphere is actually cooling; even the pushers don’t say global warming anymore, they say “climate change”.

Thanks to one brave reporter who has the courage to buck the popular trend, we finally have a glimpse of the real facts. Now it’s up to you to do something about it. Your politicians and news people need to hear from you. Tell ‘em your damn mad & you’re not gonna’ take it any more!

Hydrogen, The Almost-Perfect Fuel

Did you know that there is more hydrogen in a gallon of gasoline than there is in a gallon of pure liquid hydrogen? It's true! It's because the density of hydrogen is so low. Hydrogen's low density is just one of the reasons that the hydrogen powered car will never be a viable option, yet billions of tax dollars are spent every year on "research" into hydrogen fuel cells!

Hydrogen-pushers tell us all kinds of exaggerations and lies to keep the cash flowing; they say that hydrogen fuel cells would reduce emissions and reliance on fossil fuels, but they are wrong! The biggest problem with the whole idea is that essentially all the hydrogen on Earth is tied up in water or hydrocarbons, and it takes more energy to extract the hydrogen than you get from using the hydrogen!

This is a simple rule of thermodynamics that is taught in high school science class. As a result, hydrocarbon usage actually increases, and therefore emissions must increase as well. Don’t be duped any longer, fight back against the false environmentalists that are forcing governments to fund their whacky schemes with your tax dollars. Find out more about hydrogen, and how to get your tax dollars back, read Kids Before Trees. Looming Recession

Look out, here we go again! The stock market is crashing, the world’s economy is reeling under a debt crisis and a global recession is threatening to undo the meager recovery we’ve made in the last few years. Thousands of families have lost their homes, their jobs and their savings, and now they’ll have to make do with even less. They are the real victims of global warming.

How can they be victims of global warming, you ask! The answer is simple: we’ve spent so much time and money battling the imaginary foe known as global warming that we’ve lost track of what really matters. The planet is not warming; in fact it’s cooling. There is no legitimate scientific data to indicate a direct relationship between CO2 and global temperatures. The infamous and thoroughly debunked “hockey stick”, the graph that was supposed to show temperatures rising in step with CO2 levels, was fabricated by unscrupulous scientists. They selected and used only the temperature data that showed the results they wanted. Read more at: http://www.friendsofscience.org/

People and legitimate environmental issues suffer because cash strapped governments have nothing left to offer them. Every dollar that’s spent fighting global warming is a dollar that’s taken from you, through higher taxes and higher prices.

The destitute, the sick and the poor are the real losers in the stampede of false science and sensationalist headlines. Children are being tossed into the streets as underfunded schools close. Fanatical environmentalists force governments to spend your tax dollars on windmills when jobs are what we need. It's time to fight back!

Higher Electricity Bills

We talked about higher gas prices, now let's look at the cost of electricity. Your power bill is about to go up. Why? Because we are building windmills to generate electricity, and they cost hundreds of millions of dollars. But isn’t it worth it, you say, to help reduce so-called greenhouse gas emissions? Well, let’s take a look and see if they do.
Generating electricity with wind is supposed to reduce emissions by allowing coal fired power plants to be shut down. The idea is to replace electricity generated in coal plants with electricity generated by windmills. The problem is, we can’t shut down our coal plants, so the theory doesn’t work.
We can’t shut down our coal-fired power plants because we still need electricity when the wind isn’t blowing hard enough to turn the windmills. Can you imagine your power going off every time the wind slows down!?

Why Does Gasoline Cost So Much

We're all affected by gas prices: sometimes it seems like the oil companies are just gouging us. The truth is very different. Refiners have to buy the crude oil that is the feedstock for gasoline, diesel, jet fuel and other products. One of the main reasons the price of oil is high is that OPEC restricts the amount they produce. Oil is traded freely in every major market in the world, and the price is determined by simple supply and demand. OPEC limits the supply of oil to keep the price high: they sell fewer barrels but earn more money per barrel.

OPEC had the world over a barrel when they first formed their coalition, but as the price of oil rose, entrepreneurs in the West developed methods of finding and producing new and difficult reservoirs. The 2 trillion barrels of bitumen in Alberta as well as other vast reservoirs are economical to produce at today's prices, so OPEC can't effectively drive the price any higher. They can still affect the price of oil, but they aren't the only supplier any longer. Still, oil is the feedstock of gasoline and so gas prices will continue to rise and fall as oil prices do. Oil producers are in fierce competition with each other, in a continual effort to drive down their operating costs. As long as their entrepreneurial spirit is allowed to thrive in a free market, they will continue to improve efficiencies and find new ways to produce oil at lower costs-which of course will translate into greater supply and lower prices.

Another major factor in the price of gasoline is taxes: federal, state and provincial taxes make up a significant portion of the price you pay at the pumps. There's not much you and I can do about OPEC, but there IS something we can do about taxes. Let your politician know that you want lower gas taxes! But you have to be willing to give something up, and one thing we can give up is ethanol. Ethanol, contrary to its supporters claims, increases CO2 emissions and oil consumption, and we're being forced to pay for it! Bio-Fuels

Did you know that bio-fuels, like ethanol, actually increase CO2 emissions? Did you know that in Canada we are forced by gov't regulations to use ethanol blended fuel, & that our gas prices & taxes are higher because of it? As a result, we're paying more and we're increasing CO2 emissions! Read Kids Before Trees to find out more, and to see what you can do about it.
