Hmm, the European economy is in crisis, yet they are cutting back the peace fund in Northern Ireland! No money for peace-but lots of money for ethanol, even though ethanol production and use actually INCREASES emissions and hydrocarbon consumption! Don't believe it? Well, if you could get more energy from ethanol than it takes to produce it then everybody would be doing it. It would be an endless supply of free energy, yet no one is doing it! Since it takes more energy to produce than it yields, hydrocarbon consumption and therefore emissions must increase.

It's a simple fact, and if you think about it you will see the logic. So why haven't we been told this? Why are we told just the opposite? Makes you think, doesn't it. We must wonder why we have money to subsidize ethanol production but not to promote peace. It's time to start asking our environmental leaders some hard questions, and to get out priorities straight.
